The IT Application Developer’s primary focus is to support and help develop distribution-related reporting, perform change management tasks to promote program changes into multiple environments, and develop labels and shipping documentation. The IT Application Developer will work closely with IT and business resources in the head office and global distribution centers. The mandate will include documenting, analyzing, and resolving production reporting issues; developing new reporting solutions, testing, and implementing initiatives to support our business customers. The IT Application Developer reports to the Director, Applications in our Montreal Corporate office who is the link between users and the IT department.

• Follow-up Incidents assigned to the Distribution team pertaining to reporting requests.
• Deploy new development using Change Management tool from test to production WMS systems.
• Maintain security in reporting software.
• Work with the business to define and document technical specifications and then develop new reports or make changes to existing reports.
• Follow Gildan software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology and standards for the programming and documentation.
• As the development skills improve with internal training, and the knowledge of Gildan business processes progress, the development of labels and distribution documents will be added to the list of responsibilities.
