Job Purpose & Context

The Business Analyst is responsible for aligning business needs with technology solutions by analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating requirements into precise functional and non-functional specifications. The role operates in a cross-functional environment, working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, IT teams, and external partners to ensure that solutions align with organizational strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives. The position typically supports complex, enterprise-level initiatives with high business impact.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand strategic goals, operational challenges, and system requirements.
• Lead requirements elicitation activities, including workshops, interviews, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Analyze and document current-state (“as-is”) and future-state (“to-be”) business processes.
• Prepare and maintain business requirements documents (BRD), functional requirement specifications (FRS), use cases, and user stories.
• Translate business requirements into precise, actionable specifications for technical teams.
• Participate in Agile activities including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with business goals and constraints.
• Develop process models, diagrams, and documentation.
• Assist in preparing test plans, executing UAT, and validating deliverables.
• Facilitate communication and serve as the main point of contact between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business analysts, as applicable.
• Prepare status reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and key stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in business analysis.
