About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment processes while ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Linux and Windows server administration and hardening to support enterprise applications and Kubernetes platforms.
- Kubernetes cluster administration, maintenance and troubleshooting across development, testing and production environments.
- Implement cluster-level configurations and platform capabilities based on application and operational requirements.
- Design and maintain deployment pipelines while enforcing security policies, security contexts, resource governance and platform standards.
- Manage Kubernetes networking components, including CNI, Ingress, Load Balancers and proxy/service mesh components.
- Container runtime administration and troubleshooting of container lifecycle issues.
- Design, maintain and optimize monitoring, logging, alerting and observability platforms, along with the on-premises container registry.
- Perform capacity planning, resource optimization and workload tuning using historical metrics and performance trends.
- Plan and execute operating system, Kubernetes and platform component upgrades with minimal service disruption.
- Maintain backup and restore procedures for cluster state stores and ensure disaster recovery readiness across DC/DR environments.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes networking, cross-subnet connectivity, control-plane communication, Linux kernel/sysctl tuning, and platform infrastructure issues.
- Perform cluster security hardening, manage RBAC, Service Accounts, Secrets, Certificates, support security audits and vulnerability remediation.
- Develop and maintain Bash and Python automation scripts for operational tasks. Lua scripting knowledge is an advantage.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs, node provisioning guides, and rollback procedures.
- Participate in production incident response, root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous platform improvements.
- Collaborate with network, infrastructure, security, and application teams regarding firewall changes, whitelisting, DNS, load balancing and API integration requirements.
Required Skills:
- Strong Linux server administration experience
- Experience administering Kubernetes clusters (On-Premises, AWS, Azure, GCP or equivalent platforms)
- Good understanding of container technologies and container runtimes
- Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting
- Strong networking fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring, logging and observability platforms
- Experience with Git version control
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Lua scripting
- Prior software development experience in any programming language to assist with application debugging, log analysis, automation, and collaboration with development teams
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
