The Costing IE Officer/Senior Officer role in the RMG sector involves balancing accurate cost calculations with the optimization of production workflows. In Bangladesh, this position requires a combination of analytical and operational skills to ensure garments are priced competitively while maintaining efficiency on the factory floor. Candidates should be able to demonstrate how their expertise in cost management and industrial engineering can directly contribute to profitability and productivity in local textile units. • Strong understanding of garment costing methods, including fabric and trim valuation.
• Ability to calculate Standard Minute Value (SMV) and analyze production data.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data entry, trend analysis, and budgeting.
• Experience in line balancing and motion studies to improve workflow efficiency.
• Knowledge of cost-saving strategies and material alternatives.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and quality control procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Excel for data modeling and SMV calculations.
• Knowledge of sewing thread consumption.
• Coordination with the Sample Section for process development purposes.
