Our R&D includes genetic farm (breeding farm), bull stations, fodder bank and modern semen processing laboratory, as well as improvement of feed, animal health and management technique for smallholder animal farmers including women entrepreneurs. The Bull Station is fully equipped with live bull management and semen production and distribution of frozen semen of dairy, beef cattle and buffaloes which is quality certified by ISO (ISO 9001:2015). Job Context

The Junior Officer (Semen Collection & Bull Management) is responsible for assisting in the management of breeding bulls, semen collection operations, feeding management, health monitoring, and routine farm activities. The incumbent will support veterinarians and scientific officers in maintaining the health, productivity, and welfare of breeding bulls while ensuring proper record keeping and compliance with quality management systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Individual observation of bulls frequently per day in morning, feeding time and afternoon, and inform to Station Head, Vet and Farm Manager for any emergency cases

• Bull identification through tagging and regular updating name plates of bulls.

• AV set washing and preparation, semen collection from breeding bulls.

• Delivered concentrate feed from stock according to bull status and maintaining the stock Register regularly

• Receive green grass, straw and feed and keep the record and timely feeding of Bulls with supplements.

• Regular bull exercise and other farm activity supervising and record keeping

• Assist to Vet. For Vaccination, deworming and other treatment related works

• Assist on hoof trimming to vet foot bathing and other associate managements.

• Sheath washing regularly before the day of semen collection

• Weighing of the bulls every month and keep the record in register including required phenotypic measurements

• Assist to deliver the semen from laboratory

• Any other activities / responsibilities given by superiors/ authorities

• Effective implementation of ISO 9001:2015
