Assist the Team Leader in all safeguard matters — Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Resettlement, Gender and Fire-related.

Assist in preparing EHS details for bidding purposes.

Review safeguard reports (EIA / EMP / Resettlement / Gender Action / Safety / Health protection) submitted by the EPC contractor and support compliance monitoring and guiding corrective measures.

Prepare periodic Safeguard Compliance reports as part of project reporting.

Review compliance documents demonstrating adherence to local, national and international environmental regulations and standards.

Evaluate the site`s environmental conditions, including soil, water and existing flora and fauna.

Review and monitor compliance for handling, storing and disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated during execution and operation.

Identify and analyze potential environmental risks and how to mitigate them.

Review the contractor`s practices to promote sustainability (energy use, resource conservation, lifecycle assessments).

Any other relevant safeguard-related activity.
