Job Description
- Receive sample development requests from Merchandising and record all sample details.
- Prepare and maintain the daily sampling plan based on buyer priorities and delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate with the Artwork, Screen Making, Color Kitchen, Printing, Finishing, and Quality departments to ensure smooth sample execution.
- Follow up on artwork approval, color approval, strike-off, screen preparation, and sample production.
- Ensure buyer specifications, approved artworks, print placement, colors, measurements, and special instructions are correctly followed.
- Monitor the progress of all ongoing samples and proactively resolve delays or production issues.
- Maintain effective communication with Merchandising regarding sample status, completion dates, and any technical concerns.
- Coordinate urgent or revised samples and ensure priority handling when required.
- Verify that all completed samples meet the required quality standards before submission.
- Prepare and maintain sample tracking reports, sample registers, and buyer-wise sampling status.
- Keep proper records of approved artworks, sample approvals, color references, strike-offs, and production comments.
- Ensure sample garments, artwork files, and approval records are properly stored for future reference.
- Coordinate the dispatch of samples to buyers or buying offices within the committed timeline.
- Follow up on buyer comments and arrange sample revisions whenever required.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and document control within the sampling section.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce sample lead time and improve workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, and applicable quality and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with Production Planning to ensure successful transition from approved samples to bulk production.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sampling progress reports for management.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management related to sampling and product development.
Job Requirements
- Having Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering (TE) degree is a plus.
- Preferred Industry Type are Recruitment / Staffing.
