Maintain all Bond and VAT-related books of accounts, registers, documents, returns, challans, invoices, customs documents, import and export records, and supporting papers in an organized manner.

Preserve all records for the statutory period prescribed under Section 107(1) and ensure they are readily available for inspection, audit, investigation, or verification by the National Board of Revenue (NBR).

Store physical records securely at the registered business premises and maintain electronic records with appropriate security and backup systems in accordance with Rule 95.

Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT returns, Bond returns, statements, and other statutory reports.

Maintain proper documentation for all Bond imports, exports, wastage, stock movements, and utilization of raw materials.

Reconcile Bond, Customs, VAT, ERP, and accounting records on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Ensure that all records are properly indexed, archived, and retrievable whenever required by the VAT or Customs authorities.

Monitor compliance with all applicable provisions of the VAT & SD Act, 2012, the VAT & SD Rules, 2016, Bond License conditions, SROs, and NBR circulars.

Conduct periodic internal reviews to identify compliance gaps and take corrective actions promptly.

Ensure that any records relating to pending audit, assessment, appeal, investigation, or legal proceedings are preserved until the final disposal of such proceedings, even if the normal preservation period has expired.
