Position Summary

The Factory Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the manufacturing facility, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, process optimization, safety, utilities, inventory control, and manpower management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and practical experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in sulphonation or surfactant production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the sulphonation plant.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand.
• Optimize production processes to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety requirements.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality Control, Warehouse, Procurement, and Commercial departments.
• Monitor production KPIs, raw material consumption, utility usage, production costs, and plant performance.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve profitability.
• Supervise plant personnel, provide training, and develop a high-performing team.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports for management.
• Lead troubleshooting during plant upsets, shutdowns, and emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, GMP (where applicable), and company policies.
