Job Description:

SS Group, a leading conglomerate with diverse business interests in import, trading, manufacturing, inland lighter vessel services, shipping agency services, and more, is currently seeking a highly competent and motivated individual to join our team as “Senior Executive – Income Tax”. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in income tax to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Job Purpose:

Ensure full compliance with the Income Tax Act, 2023, manage corporate income tax matters, support assessments, optimize tax compliance and provide timely tax information to hierarchy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare corporate income tax computations for all group companies.
• Prepare and file income tax returns, statements and supporting schedules within statutory deadlines.
• Maintain tax calendars and monitor compliance deadlines.
• Review withholding tax deductions and deposits.
• Review contracts and transactions for income tax implications.
• Monitor tax implications of trading, imports, shipping, logistics, Ready-Mix Concrete and dockyard operations.
• Coordinate with tax consultants, legal counsel and tax authorities.
• Maintain tax records, documentation and evidence.
• Monitor amendments, SROs and circulars and advise management.
• Prepare monthly tax MIS and compliance reports.
• Recommend process improvements and ensure confidentiality.
• Reconcile & monitor bank accounts to ensure preparation of statutory financial statement in line with income tax act 2023 & VAT Act 2012
• Prepare Tax Calendar, ensure compliance and create compliant endeavor across the group.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience in obtaining, renewing, and maintaining statutory licenses and regulatory approvals, including IRC, ERC, Trade License, Environmental Clearance, and other applicable business permits.
